Three steps to heaven.

The clients commissioned Valley Garden Landscapes to undertake a complete re-design of all the landscape areas. This included new front steps, retaining walls, deck, pergola, side access and pool area at the rear. Once the design process was complete and fully costed a sensible staging of the garden was agreed.

In stage one a new large retaining wall was built in front of the existing deck to replace the crumbling, dangerous existing version. New steps, handrail, covered pergola, down lights, bench seat and barbeque area were installed. The garden area was terraced with large sandstone boulders some of which were craned into place and a sub-tropical planting scheme was planted to complement the existing tree ferns. The side garden was excavated to allow for access and a sandstone wall constructed from stone quarried on site.

Stage two will include a new front deck and handrail to match those installed in phase one as well as additional screening to the boundaries.

Stage three will be the large pool area to the rear. This will include new paving, pool coping, pavilion, lighting, planting, steps and pool fencing.

The clients’ are delighted with this sensible approach to the construction of the garden areas and cannot wait to get Valley Garden Landscapes back to complete the stages over the coming years.
